MS Dhoni shocked the world by announcing his retirement from international cricket on 15th of August, about which even CSK management was caught unaware of. MS Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket has left a big void in Team India. His lightning-quick reflexes behind the stumps and his genius decisions on the field will be very hard to find an apt replacement for a time being.
The cricketing world salutes MS Dhoni for the name he made for himself and his country at the biggest stage of the sport of cricket. MS Dhoni played his last game in the Indian colours during the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

He has quit international cricket only. He is going to play for CSK: Said CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan
CSK CEO has opined that MS Dhoni will be seen in action for CSK, for as long as he wants. They are also planning to retain him after 2020 when his contract expires.
“He has quit international cricket only. He is going to play for CSK. We want him to play for us as long as he wants. In fact, we plan to retain him as a player after the 2021 IPL too,” he said.

We hope that Dhoni will not quit CSK as silently as he retired from International Cricket
Kasi Vishwanathan also said that they hope that MS Dhoni would not be quitting CSK as abruptly as he did from International Cricket. He said they didn’t know about his decision till the last moment, even though while announcing his retirement MD Dhoni was in the CSK camp training for the IPL.
“The decision to retire from international cricket was typical of Dhoni. But we don’t interfere with him when it comes to cricketing decisions. However, we certainly hope that he doesn’t make a decision like that and quit CSK,”

“His decision completely took us by surprise but he showed no emotions. He was as cool and calm as ever. The Indian team and CSK have achieved success over the years under Dhoni’s captaincy because there was clarity in his thoughts. On Saturday, too, I could see the same clarity in his decision.”
The Indian Premier League starts from September 19, where MS Dhoni will be seen leading CSK in the 13th edition of the Competition in the UAE. He has joined CSK’S training camp in Chennai before travelling to the UAE for IPL 2020.
