The former Indian World Cup-winning captain MS Dhoni, who is not much active in social media, recently appeared in a short social media video that was shared by his IPL side Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
MS Dhoni is probably the most crucial name of the CSK, who is leading the team from the very first edition of the IPL. Dhoni-led CSK have not only won three IPL trophies (2010, 2011 and 2018) and two Champions League T20 trophies (2010 and 2014), but they are also the most consistent performers in the IPL history. While the CSK have played ten out of the 12 editions, they never finished below the top four positions in this cash-rich league.
Moreover, apart from two editions, the CSK reached the final of the tournament in all other eight seasons as they finished as the runners-up for five times. Dhoni is CSK’s second most run-scorer as the right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman has scored 4307 runs in 184 matches with an average of 42.22 and strike-rate of 140.15, including 22 half-centuries.
Recently, the CSK shared a 17-second video of their captain Dhoni, who was waving his right hand towards the video camera. In that video, there was also a song running named “Mahi Way”, which was recently released by the CSK on Dhoni’s 39th birthday.
CSK also captioned the shared video as, “The much needed pawsitivity at 7! #Thala @msdhoni #WhistlePodu.” Soon after posting this video, it goes viral due to the lots of love from the CSK fans.

MS Dhoni is ready to continue his leadership role for the CSK
MS Dhoni played his last recognised cricket match for more than a year ago on 10th July 2019 during the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against New Zealand. After that heartbreaking defeat, Dhoni has always made himself unavailable for the national team selection. However, he hasn’t also announced his retirement from international cricket yet.
But, the senior wicketkeeper-batsman Dhoni was ready to return to the game in the IPL 2020, which was originally scheduled between 29th March and 24th May 2020. But his return on the cricket field has been delayed due to the postponement of the IPL 2020 for an indefinite period amid coronavirus outbreak.
