During the Adelaide ODI, MS Dhoni didn’t complete a run; which no one noticed either. It was on the last ball of the 45th over when he took a single but didn’t put his bat down at the other end. Well, had anyone noticed it on the field, MS would have been run-out for sure. Meanwhile, Adam Gilchrist also mentioned this during the commentary. However, a couple of days later, he clarified his comments on Dhoni not completing a single.

MS wasn’t doing anything against the rules

Adam Gilchrist, replying to a tweet said he believes MS Dhoni didn’t break any law. Also, he mentioned that it doesn’t often happen when MS Dhoni is around.

“Thanks for advising. Clearly  wasn’t doing anything against the rules. It was just a unique situation not often seen.”

MS Dhoni hits consecutive fifty; silences critics

Imagine, the Aussies taking note of at that time; MS Dhoni could have been out, and the scenario of the game could be different. However, nothing of that happened, as Dhoni not only batted but also helped India win the game by six wickets. The three-match ODI series currently stands at 1-1, as the final game is scheduled to take place at the MCG on Friday (January 18th).

In the first two ODIs, the ex-India captain was among runs; scoring twin fifties in two games. In the Sydney match, MSD hit his second slowest fifty off 93 balls. Not only India lost the game, but also Dhoni had to face a lot of flak for his performance.
