Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is surrounded by the never-ending question of his participation in the T20 World Cup 2020. But he hasn’t answered the question. CSK batting coach Mike Hussey has also said that Dhoni is best to answer the question, but he believes that Dhoni is fit to play in the international format.
MS Dhoni was set to feature in the Indian Premier League 2020, which was earlier scheduled to start from 29th March, but now has been postponed indefinitely because of coronavirus. His performance in the IPL might have given the clarity over his participation in the mega event, which is scheduled in November in Australia.
Mike Hussey backs MS Dhoni
Mike Hussey is confident over the capabilities of the CSK captain. Dhoni’s video of practising in the Chennai ground is also the witness of the same.
“Of course he is still fit to play international cricket. But Dhoni is the best person to answer what is in his mind.”
Dhoni hasn’t played a game after the disheartening World Cup 2019 semi-final. Since then, he has made himself unavailable in all the series.
Mike Hussey who praised MS Dhoni opens up on IPL tournament:
Hussey expressed his love for the most popular league. He said that the board should host the condensed tournament when the things get normal.
“I would love to have it in whatever form. All of us love the tournament. We also have to respect this virus and abide by government guidelines to keep as many people safe as possible. So when things get better and safe, we can have the tournament,” said the Chennai Super Kings batting coach.
Well, T20 World Cup is also lined up later this year. So, ICC will also have to find an option if things get normal by then. They will have to also postpone the mega event for further.
