Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has not lost his temper in front of cameras but players, who have played with him, have time to time agreed that Dhoni also loses his cool. Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir and Irfan Pathan have also recalled the incidents when they have seen the wicketkeeper-batsman getting angry.
MS Dhoni loses his calmness:
Cricket pundits and fanatics adore Dhoni’s calmness in the field. He smoothly handles the pressure situation and also helps his teammates to overcome it. His attitude has led India to attain victories in three ICC mega-events. But some teammates have brushed off Dhoni’s image, the recent one to add on this list is Gambhir and Irfan.

During the T20 World Cup 2007, Gambhir has seen Dhoni looking frustrated a couple of times. However, the 38-year-old acknowledged that it’s normal for a person to lose his temper.
“People say that they have never seen him (Dhoni) lose his cool, but I have on a couple of times. It was during the 2007 World Cup and in other World Cups, when we haven’t done well,” Gambhir said on Star Sports show ‘Cricket Connected’.
“He’s human and he’s bound to react as well. It’s absolutely fair enough to do that. Even at CSK, if there’s a misfield or if someone has dropped a catch.,” added Gambhir.
MS Dhoni came late for the practice: Irfan Pathan
Irfan Pathan also added a tale, saying that during a warm-up match in 2006-2007, Dhoni threw his bat and moved out of the practice session.

“It was in 2006-07. During the warm-up, we had a game where the right-handed batsman would bat with the left-hand and vice-versa. After we finished the warm-up, we used to get into our practice.
“So, during the warm-ups, there were 2 teams. Once MS Dhoni was given out which he didn’t think he was. He threw his bat and made a dash to the dressing room and came late for the practice. So, he does get angry,” said Pathan.
Meanwhile, Dhoni has made himself unavailable for international cricket since after the World Cup 2019. He last played for India against New Zealand in the semi-final of the mega event. He was set to play the Indian Premier League 2020 which has been postponed indefinitely.
