I got a concession being an ambassador – MS Dhoni
The former Indian skipper has clarified the auditors that neither he nor his any of the family member had received funds from the controversy-hit Amrapali group.
Dhoni purchased the 5-BHK penthouse with a family lounge in Noida’s Sector 45 for Rs 20 lakh. At that time, the market price was above Rs 1.25 crore.
They are yet to clear MS Dhoni payment:
Fearing cancellation of the allotment, he has even argued that the flat cost should be seen in the context of Amrapali failing to pay him dues running into crores and that cost concession was because he was the brand ambassador of the group.
“It is respectfully submitted here that the price paid by the applicant is certainly not a paltry amount and any way that was lesser due to the applicant being associated with the Amrapali group as their brand ambassador,” Dhoni in his application filed in the Supreme Court
”It is also important to point out here that inadequacy of the consideration cannot be a ground to question. Or, inthe otherwise, genuine agreement. Moreover, in the background of the facts that the applicant has also been duped by the Amrapali group. Like other homebuyers and creditors and in fact most viciously,” he added.
Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Mahendra Singh Dhoni. MS Dhoni has been fighting for his money in the supreme court for quite a few years now.
