MS Dhoni, who announced his retirement from international cricket ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, has clearly stated that he is in no mood to retire from the league any soon. During the toss against Kings XI Punjab, the wicketkeeper-batsman had answered the question on his speculation of retirement.
With the way Chennai Super Kings and MS Dhoni’s performance has panned out this season, there were talks that it might be the last IPL for Thala. However, Dhoni has quashed all the rumours.
Definitely not, Says MS Dhoni

After he won the toss, he was asked whether it was the last time he is being seen in the yellow jersey. To which, he simply answered, “Definitely not.”
CSK has already been knocked out of the playoff race. They are playing their last league match against Kings XI Punjab to end the journey of this season. Notably, it is the first time in the IPL history that the three-time IPL winners have not reached the playoffs.

Talking about their last match, MS Dhoni said that KXIP would under pressure because they are fighting to enter the playoffs, but they wanted to give 100 % on the field to end on high.
“They are under more pressure to win; we just want to turn up and keep fighting. I felt the boys did well to stay relevant, and we want to put 100% into our game,” he said.
The season has not gone in Dhoni’s way. He has been criticized from his performance to his controversial statements in post-match conferences. Talking about his credentials, he has scored exactly 200 runs in 13 games at an average of 25 at a poor strike rate of 116.27
Although nothing can be changed now, CSK skipper will look to make a strong comeback in the next season and will want to rule the table as they have always done.
