MS Dhoni Shares a Light Moment With Man of the Series Hardik Pandya 1

Team India was at their imperious best during the ODI series against Australia, and the scoreline of 4-1 in favour of them is just a reflection of their domination in the series. It was an impressive all-round showing by the Men in Blue which enabled the hosts to lift the ODI cup without any fuss. It was all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s exceptional performance which won him the Man of the Series Award. He made his presence felt and gave a torrid time to the visitors.

Hardik scored 222 runs in the series at an average of 55.50 besides scalping six wickets. He set the tone for India with a blistering knock of 83 in the opening ODI at Chennai when the chips were down, and along with former captain MS Dhoni, the duo shared a brilliant partnership which enabled India to recover from a precarious situation.

He backed up his impressive performances with a hard-hitting 78 in the 3rd ODI at Indore enabling India to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series. Pandya received a cash prize of Rs. 2.5 lakhs but before he was seen collecting his award, he shared a happy moment with Mahendra Singh Dhoni where the former captain is seen hugging and lifting Pandya before the latter goes on to receive his Man of the Series Award.

It was a brilliant performance by the Indian team all through the series, and they would like to continue their domination even in the T20I series. Meanwhile, the team should be looking to try out a few new faces before they travel for a long away tour next year. They are slated to play 3 T20I’s and 3 ODI’s against New Zealand before Sri Lanka travels here for a full series. With India dominating all their opposition at will, their next target will be to reach the top of the rankings even in T20I’s to rule world cricket in the years to come.
