Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni might go on to attend the third Test and final Test match between India and South Africa at his hometown Ranchi. Dhoni has been not part of the team in the recent past as he had taken a sabbatical from the game after the conclusion of the World Cup.

In fact, Dhoni was expected to hang his boots after the World Cup but it wasn’t to be the case. The right-hander choose to serve the Indian army and made himself unavailable for the tour of the West Indies. Furthermore, Dhoni was not picked for the T20I series against South Africa. Dhoni could be one of the spectators.

“I have information that Dhoni has consented to watch the game,” a source in the JSCA said.

However, JSCA vice-president Ajay Nath Shahdeo refused to comment on Dhoni coming out to watch the final Test match at his hometown.
“No comments”, said Ajay Nath Shahdeo told The Telegraph on Dhoni’s availability.
Meanwhile, Shahdeo revealed that there would be four counters for the sale of the tickets and one out of the four would be reserved for women and disabled people.
“We have decided to have four counters for sale of tickets and one of these would be for women and differently abled people,” Shahdeo said.
The Ranchi stadium can host up to 39,000 spectators. Meanwhile, the tickets are available in the range of 250-2500. The JSCA vice-president revealed that there would not be any discount on the price.

“We are not going to offer any concession for the ticket prices because the rates are quite reasonable,” Shahdeo said.

On the other hand, Shahdeo also revealed that the spectators will also be allowed to watch the practice sessions. However, they will need to come up with a formal and written request.
