Speculations were abounding that MS Dhoni would hang up his boots from international cricket after India’s World Cup 2019 campaign. India team though confirmed that there is no official world on Dhoni retiring from the 50-over format of the game. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni’s Parents and the childhood coach differ their opinion.

Perhaps, one of India’s finest servants looks to have brought about the end to a successful era. India’s emotions after the team’s defeat to New Zealand in the semi-finals on Wednesday can be summed up with the images and videos of Dhoni crying soon after being run out by Martin Guptill.

Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja breathed life into India’s chase after the top three – Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli – departed having scored just 1 run each. Dinesh Karthik, sent in at No. 4, failed to make the most of the opportunity and was dismissed following a spectacular catch by James Neesham.

MS Dhoni should leave after T20I World Cup – Keshav Banerjee

The childhood coach of MS Dhoni, Keshav Benerjee quoted that he visited the house of MS Dhoni, who was not present during his visit. He revealed that Parents of Mahendra Singh Dhoni wants him to call curtains on his career and take the care of that big house from now on.

Meanwhile, the coach didn’t accept the decision of MS’s parents, as he said them to allow Dhoni to play one more year. Banerjee believes that he should play one more year and quit the game after ICC T20I World Cup 2020.

“I went to Dhoni’s house on Sunday and talked to his parents. They said that Dhoni should leave cricket now. I said no, he should play for one more year. It would be better if he leaves after the T20 World Cup. They protested by saying that ‘no who would take care of this big house’. I said when you have taken care of the house for this long, then wait for another year,” Banerjee said in a video interview as per Times Now.

Well, it would be interesting to see whether Mahendra Singh Dhoni will hear the word of his coach or his parents. Meanwhile, the reports say that he is unavailable for the upcoming series against Windies.
