Bangladesh as a team has come through leaps and bounds over the years. They have gotten rid of the minnows tag a few years ago and in 2015, they have planted themselves as a cricketing force at least in the limited over format. After a 3-0 pasting to Pakistan, they have given a scare to the mighty Indian in the first ODI. They have looked extremely comfortable in the home conditions and their bowlers have delivered the goods for the skipper throughout the year.

Mustafizur Rahman the young fast bowler from Bangladesh, has impressed the whole cricketing world with a five wicket haul on debut, gave his team the victory with some smart bowling. He has spoken out and has said that he draws inspiration from Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Aamer. He said that he was his idol and that he drives him to be a better fast bowler.

Mustafizur, who ended up with 5/50 at Dhaka against India said after the match that it was Aamer who drove him to these figures. He acknowledged that not many bowlers could pick 5 wickets on their debut. He added that he wanted to impress everyone on his debut and that he wanted to do well against the Indians.

Rahman said that he draws inspiration by just watching Aamer bowl and added that the spot fixing allegations that he is facing do not bother him. The Bangladesh skipper was also praises for this young bowler. Mortaza spoke about the risk taken in including a debutant in the series against India. He said that Rahman’s performance did not come as a surprise to him and felt that as a skipper, he can’t ask more from his bowler. He also added that the young bowler can destroy any batsman in the world after he gains experience.
