Recently, several Australian players – Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch – pulled out of the auction due to the World Cup. And the latest to join the bandwagon is Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman. The left-arm pacer failed to get a No Objection Certificate ( NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

Mustafizur had made a big mark in his inaugural season of IPL a couple of years ago. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he picked up 17 wickets in 16 games to help the franchise win their first-ever title. However, he failed to replicate that performance in this year’s edition. Representing Mumbai Indians, he could play only seven match before being ruled out with a hairline fracture to his toe. Eventually, he was one of the 10 players released by Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2019 IPL auction.
