Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the squads for India A tour of West Indies and the series against Sri Lanka. Today, which is on Wednesday, they named Narendra Hirwani, Sitanshu Kotak and Vijay Yadav as the coaches for the travelling teams.
The former leg-spinner of India Narendra Hirwani will be the bowling coach of the team while Vijay Yadav, who was the former wicketkeeper-batsman will look after the fielding section. The domestic stalwart player Sitanshu Kotak will serve the team as the batting coach for the team.
Rahul Dravid will tour South Africa:
Explaining the reason behind the absence of Rahul Dravid for the tour, the source quoted that he will be looking to travel with the under-19 teams, which will tour South Africa next year. In between, Dravid will be busy with the Zonal Cricket Academy at SCA.
“With the under-19 World Cup scheduled next year in South Africa. Rahul Dravid has to focus his attention on junior cricket too. He’ll shuttle between a Zonal Cricket Academy (SCA) tournament. It will begin in Surat from May 17, and the India A team,” the source said.
Well, the youngsters would really enjoy the tour under the watchful eyes of Narendra Hirwani, Kotak and Viajy, as all of them got the quality service and experience under their belt. However, a few of them would feel unlucky, as they missed the glorious chance to stay with Rahul Dravid.
