England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler has been in the form of his life in the recent past and it was evident for one more time when the swashbuckling batsman smashed a breathtaking 110 of just 55 deliveries which were decorated with 6 fours and 9 sixes. It was his exceptional power hitting during the 2nd ODI against Pakistan which propelled the hosts to a score of 373/3 in their allotted 50 overs after batting first.

It also happens to be the 2nd fastest ODI hundred for an English batsman. Jos Buttler also achieved the feat of scoring the fastest ODI century by an Englishman back in 2015. That particular knock also came against the same oppositions. Following his top class knock, former England skipper Nasser Hussain heaped praises on Buttler and put him in the category of players like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, MS Dhoni, Viv Richards. Nasser Hussain feels Jos Buttler is one of the greatest white ball players of all time.

During his interview with Sky Sports, Nasser Hussain said that Buttler is a freak and is right up there among some of the greatest ever white ball batsmen of all time. “He is a freak. Sometimes you don’t realise what you’ve got, because it’s right in front of you. You travel the world and you talk to people about Jos Buttler, and they rave about this lad.

I don’t like massive comments, but he’d have to be up there with the three or four greatest white-ball players of all time. You’re talking Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, MS Dhoni, Viv Richards. I have to put Buttler in that category. If you do it once, it’s a freak, but if you do it again and again and again; suddenly our very own Jos Buttler from Taunton is up among the greatest white-ball players to ever play the game. Sometimes we don’t build up our own cricketers enough. This bloke is so special, it’s untrue,” added Nasser Hussain.

Courtesy a brilliant century by Jos Buttler, England scored a mammoth 373 in their allotted 50 overs. Opener Jason Roy also contributed a quickfire 87. Despite the huge score, England had to cope with a sensational fightback from Pakistan which saw them within touching distance of the victory target. Courtesy a brilliant knock of 138 of 106 deliveries from Fakhar Zaman, Pakistan posted 361/7 in their allotted 50 overs, thus handing England a 12 runs victory.
