The youngster Navdeep Saini, who donned India’s jersey last year in August, has now become a crucial part of Team India since his debut. The speedster has also earned the place in the Test squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand. Saini seemed to be overjoyed after becoming a part of the national team.

In 2019, the 27-year-old made the debut in T20I against the West Indies. Soon, he earned the place in the one-dayers, and now the pacer has got the call in Tests. Thus, he has proved to be a crucial part of the team.

So far, Saini has picked up 18 wickets in the limited-over formats for India. While he also has the ability to clock speed over 140 kph.

Talking to his senior team Mohammed Shami, Saini expressed that he has achieved his dream to play for India.

Now, he just wants to give his best to the team.

“I am happy with whatever level I have been able to reach. It’s everyone’s dream to reach this level. It was my dream as well, which has now been fulfilled. I want to carry this further,” Saini told senior pacer Mohammed Shami in a video posted on BCCI.TV.

When I was selected for the Indian team, it was like a dream come true for me. I started playing at a local level, and then I moved on to Ranji. From there, to become a part of the Indian national team, it was a life-changing moment for me.”

While the cricketer also said that he wants to keep helping the upcoming young talents.

“I help all the budding cricketers in the academy. I have helped a few kids with cricket equipment, spikes, or financial aid. I have seen how important all of these things are for a young cricketer.”

Meanwhile, Team India will play their first Test of the series in Wellington from 21st February.
