Former India batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu has reacted to the air strikes carried out by fighter jets of the Indian Air Force early morning on Tuesday.
India, on Tuesday, gave a fitting reply to Pakistan for their role in the Pulwama attack that had claimed the lives off 44 CRPF personnels. Pakistan-based militancy group Jaish-E-Mohammad had taken responsibility of the attack. India took less than two weeks to make Pakistan pay for their heinous act.
Combat jets of the Indian Air Force bombed terror camps at multiple locations across the Line of Control on the Pakistani side in a pre-dawn strike, 12 days after the Pulwama attack in Kashmir. Government sources said the Mirage 2000 fighter jets pounded JeM terror camps in Balakot, Muzaffarabad and Chakoti in the well-planned strike, destroying the camps. According to sources, 200 to 300 terrorists were killed in the strike by Indian Air Force. The cross-border air attack destroyed terrorist launchpads and Jaish-e-Mohammed control rooms, sources said.

On Tuesday, Foreign Secretary VK Gokhale said India carried out a non-military, pre-emptive strike on terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan.
“Credible intelligence was received that JeM was attempting another suicide terror attack in various parts of the country, and the fidayeen jihadis were being trained for this purpose. In the face of imminent danger, a pre-emptive strike became absolutely necessary,” Gokhale said.
The entire nation is lauding the Indian Air Force for their bravery and Navjot Singh Sidhu has also followed suit. The cricketer-turned-politician, who was recently slammed for his comment on the attack, took to Twitter to hail the Air Force, writing:
“In the war of right & wrong, You can not afford to be neutral, The war against terror outfits is spot on… Bravo Indian Air Force”

Recently, Sidhu risked the ire of the Indian public by giving out a diplomatic statement on the Pulwama attack. While the whole nation was calling for complete boycott of Pakistan, the cricketer-turned-politician defended them. He had said ‘terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion)’ before stating that one couldn’t blame an entire nation for such attacks. He also called for a dialogue to find a permanent solution to end the bloodshed.
