Nepal didn’t have the ideal welcome to the One Day International format when they went on to lose the first game by 55 runs. Thus, the Paras Khadka led team will like to make a better comeback in the second ODI against the Netherlands.
Michael Rippon had scored a fine fifty to take hosts Netherlands to 189 runs. Furthermore, Rippon took his batting confidence forward as he scalped three crucial wickets and conceded only 23 runs in his ten overs quota.
Thus, the all-rounder had a perfect match as he bowled three maidens as well. Meanwhile, Netherlands skipper Pieter Seelar was also able to take three wickets. Netherland’s Klaassen also scalped three wickets for his side.

Nepal will seek their maiden win in the ODI format.
On the other hand, Nepal batting display was not up to the mark as they skittled out for 134 runs. In fact, Nepal got off to a good start when the openers put together an alliance of 58 runs. Opener Gyanendra Malla scored a fine fifty to give a good platform to his team.
However, the debutants slipped from 85 for 1 to bundle out for 134. Thus, Nepal crumbled like a house of cards. In fact, no batsmen below the number four position were able to get to the double digits for Nepal.
Meanwhile, there were some positives for Nepal. Paras Khadka, their skipper scalped four wickets and gave away only 26 runs in his ten overs quota. Sompal Kami took three wickets while the young sensation Sandeep Lamichhane who also impressed in the IPL took one wicket.

Thus, Nepal will look at this promising start to their ODI career. In fact, both Netherlands and Nepal will hope that they get ample opportunities to play in the white ball version.
