The self-proclaimed Universe Boss Chirs Gayle has set new records in the cash-rich league. He holds the record of the highest individual score in the T20 league, scoring 175 runs in the 2013 season for RCB. During this innings, he also recorded the fastest century in 30 balls.

Although he has been the superstar of the league, he hasn’t got the opportunity to captain an Indian Premier League team. So far, Gayle has played for Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In IPL, the Jamaican opener has scored 4484 runs at an average of over 40 in 125 matches.

Like Malinga, his stats are excellent as a player but unimpressive as a captain. However, being the master of the T20 game, he should have been given a chance to captain in the lucrative league
