Black day in Indian Cricket as Indian Premier League got affected by the curses like fixing, which caused Meiyappan and Raj Kundra lifetime ban from cricket and both the teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals a ban for two years. But as Rajiv Shukla declared that there are gonna be 8 teams in the next IPL also, the question that is going around now is that who are the new two teams going to be. India being a large nation titled as sub-continent, with so many states and a huge mass following cricket like a religion, there are so many probable cities that stand a real chance to get into the league paparazzi.
1. Ahmedabad –

It’s Gujrat, one of the most important states now in the socio-economic map of India. The city of Ahmedabad is famous for the cotton industries along with the hospitality of the people here but just like any other Indian, they love cricket. IPL will step into their 9th edition in 2016 and though Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel stadium has hosted a few matches, the Gujratis have never been able to have a team from their state. So, it will be a nice time to show the potentials on field for Ahmedabad, isn’t it?
2.Cuttack:

The city, whose name means fort, has seen many battles since its occurance including the ones with willows. Barabati stadium is the place where Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja put up the world’s best unbroken ODI partnership of 275 runs. Though they have been the home ground for KXIP for the last season, Odisha has never had their own team playing, neither has Cuttack. Surely, if they do this year, it is going to be one of the pleasant surprise for the descendants from Odisha.
3. Nagpur –

When we hear Nagpur, we get visuals of fresh Oranges, tiger reserves and a royal bengal tiger catching his last prey on field. Yes, the famous Nagpur test which saw the prince of Kolkata, and one of the best captains of Indian side, play his last International sure brings a little moisture to his ardent followers. Though Maharastra has Mumbai Indians, and has also had Pune Warriors, the prestigious venue of Nagpur has never been able to get the limelight that IPL brings along. We can surely have ‘the Nagpur Naujawans’, can’t we? With a better team name obviously.
4. Indore:

A place where finance, art, culture all meet- it’s Indore for you. From temples to churches, from malls to palaces Indore has it all. And to add to that list, what they have more is the Nehru Stadium where India defeated the Aussies for 118 runs. Just like Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh has never had their own team participating in the IPL, and with Indore, they can have that dream fulfilled.
5. Ranchi –

The current capital of Jharkhand is home to the JSCA International Cricket Stadium, or commonly known as ‘Dhoni’s stadium’. Yes, thus is the craze for the Indian skipper here as he stands the local boy of Ranchi. Everytime Ranchi has seen a match with Dhoni captaining the side, the people poured in with enormous support for the team. Though Chennai Super Kings had their own home ground, few of their matches had ranchi as their home. As CSK is off for two years now, Ranchi can surely fill up one slot as a new team and let the people cheer for ‘Mahi’ if he gets picked as the captain.
IPL has added so many good memories to the cricket-loving Indian crowd that it has become an inevitable part of the country’s entertainment. It has made top class international players become so close as locals, it has helped local talents such as Axar Patel, Sanju Samson, Manish Pandey, Varoon Aaron emerge as the new stars. We hope IPL will find its glory back with clear and pure cricket letting behind the black episodes and continue produce good cricket for future.
