Everything changes now – David White
We come across the international matches being cancelled on rare occasions. Apart from weather conditions, we don’t come across such terrorist events disturbing the game. The last time it happened was in Pakistan when a bomb blast took place near visitors hotel.
“This is shocking. This will change the entire fabric of international sports hosting,” White said. “I think everything changes now. We’ll certainly be having to look at our security in depth. I think the idea of New Zealand being a safe haven is gone now.”
Our heartfelt sympathies to the affected families – New Zealand Cricket
Further, in a statement released by the cricket board, they gave their sympathies and condolences to the families affected in the attack. Further, they thanked security forces for ensuring Bangladesh team stay in a safe place.
“Our heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims and our thoughts are with them at this time of grave tragedy,” the statement said. “The board thanks New Zealand Cricket (NZC) for ensuring that members of the Bangladesh national cricket team are safe and secure in Christchurch.”
The incident shocked all the cricket fanatics in the world. Certainly, it also made the New Zealand people frighten, as things like such are always scary. Meanwhile, the cricketers across the globe share their thoughts on the incident.
Thankfully, Bangladesh Cricket Team escaped the incident. Otherwise, it would have been worse for New Zealand in various ways.
