New Zealand vs India 2020: Kane Williamson to Play Third ODI for Kiwis

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has confirmed his comeback in the third game in the ongoing ODI series against India. It will be a huge boost for the New Zealanders as their captain will return in the third and final ODI. Williamson was ruled out of the first two ODIs because of the shoulder injury which he nursed during the third T20I.

Kane Williamson missed the last two T20Is as well of the five-match series. In the remainder of the T20I series, Tim Southee led the team after Willamson. While in the ongoing ODI series, Tom Latham is leading the team in the absence of regular skipper, Williamson

Now, Kane has himself said that he will join the team in the third ODI match which will be played on Tuesday. He recovered from an inflamed AC joint niggle in his left shoulder.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the right-handed batsman said that his injured shoulder is recovering well and is hopeful of recovering in time for the final game of the series.

Before the injury, Williamson had an impressive outing against Virat Kohli’s men. He scored two half-centuries in the first two T20Is. While in the third T20I, he scored 95 runs but it went to vain as India managed to clean sweep Kiwis in the five-match T20I series.
