3. 2^nd wicket partnership between Nicholls and Latham

After the dismissal of Guptil, Nicholls and Latham put up another excellent partnership for the second wicket. Nicholls and Latham played some wonderful strokes of the spinners which frustrated the Indian bowlers. Both of them put 49 for the second wicket which gave New Zealand some hope of staging a fightback.
