Taylor hit a career-best 181 not out in the fourth ODI against England in Dunedin earlier this month to reach a career-high 789 ranking points. He was previously this high in the rankings in 2015.
Afghanistan’s teenage spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman leapfrogged 42 places up to No.21 in the bowling rankings.

His 16 wickets at an average of only 15.93 made him the tournament’s leading ODI wicket-taker. Also, he returned with 4 for 43 in the final to restrict Windies to 206.
One spot above Mujeeb is veteran Ireland seamer Tim Murtagh, who took ten wickets in the tournament including a best of 4/41 against Windies. His teammate Andy McBrine was also a big climber, moving up 22 places to No.42.
The off-spinner took his best figures of 3/38 in Ireland’s four-wicket victory over Papua New Guinea in their opening match.

Scotland seamer Safyaan Sharif, who became the second highest wicket-taker jumped 46 places to No.35 in the bowling rankings. He returned with 15 wickets although Scotland has failed to qualify.
UAE’s Rohan Mustafa and Mohammad Naveed both made giant leaps of 22 and 28 places to No.47 and No.51 in the all-rounders’ rankings, while New Zealand spinner Mitchell Santner, who sustained a knee injury, jumped eight places to No.4.
