Nick Compton Apologises For His Comments On Virat Kohli’s Gesture To Steve Smith

Virat Kohli received accolades across the world for his gesture to Steve Smith on the other day. However, the former cricketer Nick Compton criticised the Indian skipper citing that was a poor call to ask the audience in such a way. However, now, he conveys a sorry to the Indian fans.

It was a class act from the Indian skipper Virat Kohli during the ICC World Cup 2019. The flamboyant cricketer has asked the fans to stop booing Steve Smith, which made every cricketing fanatic love him even more.

Indian captain Virat Kohli expressed his sympathy for Steve Smith and apologised on behalf of the crowd after the former Australia captain was heckled and booed by the Oval crowd which was dominated by the Indian contingent.

While all have been singing praises for the Indian skipper, former England opener Nick Compton has launched an attack towards Kohli. Compton was not impressed with the way Kohli bossed the crowd at the Oval.

Posting a video, Compton captioned it saying “I don’t think Virat Kohli had any right to tell fans to stop booing at Warner and Smith but rather clap them.. found it rather condescending if truth be told!”
