The outbreak of coronavirus has shaken all the cricket schedule. The Indian Premier League has been postponed indefinitely and also the international series has been triggered because of the spread of the deadly virus. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) general Manager Saba Karim has also expressed that they will reschedule everything if only the situations get normal.
BCCI seems to be helpless because of the unprecedented virus. It is the first time a situation has aroused which has put the sport in a standstill. There have been over two months that the players haven’t played a match and the time will extend if the situation gets worsen.
There is no concrete back up plans as such: Saba Karim
For now, the upcoming event is in August when India’s domestic season starts with Duleep Trophy, but the situation seems uncertain. Well, Karim has said that there is no backup plan and it will depend on whatever situation at that time will be.
“There is no concrete back up plans as such. There is still time for August. We are taking month by month. It is difficult to talk about it at this stage. It all depends on how soon we overcome this situation.” Saba Karim said.
