Thus far, during this bilateral series, there have been three instances where rain had caused or had threatened to cause problems. In the 2nd ODI in Kolkata, dark clouds loomed over the venue for the most of the game after raining at the start. In the third ODI in Bengaluru, Similar scenes took place, but no overs were lost.
However, in Ranchi, the bad weather gobbled up 14 overs in the second innings before the start of Australia’s chase, reducing the match to six overs. India eventually went on to win the game with the D/L method. But, no such scenes are expected to happen tomorrow (Tuesday) when the 2nd T20 game will be played at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati at 7 PM. The stadium will host its maiden international game.
Weather-wise, the venue is expected to receive some isolated showers during the afternoon hours, but skies will remain clear in the night time. Thus, spectators can remain confident of enjoying any hindrance.
