No. 1 T20 All rounder according to the ICC and Bangladesh hero Shakib Al Hasan has joined the Melbourne Renegades for the 2014-15 season of the Big Bash League.
Shakib Al Hasan, left-handed batsman and a left-arm spinner was a part of Adelaide Strikers in the last season of the BBL. Andre Russell, one of West Indies finest all rounders is about to join the Windies team for the South Africa series so, Shakib Al Hasan has been signed as his replacement.
Renegades coach Simon Helomot is all pleased for having Shakib in the side.
“Shakib is great fit for our squad in January and we’re looking forward to having him on board,” Helmot said.
“We were looking for someone who could contribute across the board for us and being able to call on the top-ranked T20 allrounder in the world is a terrific boost.
“He brings plenty of experience and cool head under pressure.”
Shakib can play from a match against the Hobart Hurricanes on Jaunuary 7th. The Renegades will play the Perth Scorchers on the boxing day at the Furnace.
