The South African batsman, Hashim Amla, has quashed all the rumours regarding him signing the Kolpak deal as he has declared that he will continue to play for South Africa in future. The news regarding him signing a taking a Kolpak route emerged out after his mixed show in the series against England. With the emergence of youngsters and the age also catching up, the news became the talk of the town, but Ama didn’t comment on the matter. It was the first time when he stepped on the field for a practice session after series against England and the question immediately cropped up, which he clarified.

Along with Amla, there were reports of English counties targeting Morne Morkel for a Kolpak deal as well. Till now, there are no comments from him, nor any county and suspense still loom on the matter.

The Kolpak route has become a big head for South African cricket as oodles of players accepted offers from various counties, which has left South Africa starving for talent. Rilee Rossouw, Kyle Abbot, David Wiese were few of the key players who left the country, and there was fear of the board losing out on the services of Amla as well, but he has put all the rumours to rest.
