NZ vs PAK 2016, 2nd Test: Twitter Brutally Trolls Pakistan After Their Dramatic Loss
Nov 29, 2016 at 11:49 AM
If there is one team that defines the term ‘unpredictable’ in cricket, it has to Pakistan. Just a couple of months ago, they were making life difficult for England in their own backyard and on Tuesday, they even struggled to survive a session. The world no. 2 team in Tests lost nine wickets in the final session of the Hamilton Test against New Zealand, only to lose the series 2-0.
Chasing an improbable target of 369 runs to level the series, Pakistan started their innings in an emphatic manner as their openers added 131 runs for the first wicket. A draw was looking the likeliest of results when the final session began. With around 34 overs left, New Zealand needed nine wickets to whitewash Pakistan while the visitors needed 211 runs. However, in a dramatic collapse, Azhar Ali’s men were all out in a space of 24.3 overs, out of which the last six fell in 11 overs. As many as four batsmen were dismissed for a duck while apart from Sami Aslam (91) and Azhar Ali (58), not a single batsman could cross the 20-run mark.
As expected, the Twitterati trolled Pakistan for their dismal performance. Here are some of the best reactions:
