Former Australian pacer Glenn McGrath has picked up his choice of potential four semifinalists for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 later this year. The marquee event is scheduled to be hosted by India from 5 October to 19 November 2023. Ten teams will participate in the tournament including defending champions England and heavyweights India and Australia.
All eyes will be on the Indian team as players and fans will be desperate to end their long wait for an ICC title, whereas England will look to defend their title on the away soil after winning a dramatic final in 2019, whereas Pakistan will also look to put up a fine show in the sub-continent as they got the formidable attack to win the championship in India.
With the ODI World Cup scheduled to start in two months, many former cricketers have picked their teams which can go on to win the championship in India. Former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath has picked Australia, India, England, and Pakistan as the four teams, who can make it final four of the mega event.

“You wouldn’t be surprised that I’m putting Australia in that four. Obviously, India is playing in their conditions. England is playing some great cricket and Pakistan is also playing fine. So, they are the best four,” Glenn McGrath said.
Australia is one of the most successful teams in the 50-over World Cup winning five championship titles including the 2015 championship on their home soil. Pakistan will fancy their chances of coming into the marquee event in India, as they have got enough resources in the team to win the championship in India.
That Is Something Jasprit Bumrah Will Have To Think About Moving Forward – Glenn McGrath
Glenn McGrath believes that it is tough to ask Jasprit Bumrah to play all three formats going forward as he has unique bowling action. The veteran wants him to decide on playing all three formats of the game to prolong his playing days in International cricket.

“It is getting harder to play all three formats. That is something Jasprit will have to think about moving forward because what he does is unique and is quite tough on his body too. I think he has a lot more to offer for the rest of his career,” Glenn McGrath added.
Jasprit Bumrah is set to make his return to the Indian side for the Ireland T20I series just before the all-important Asia Cup and World Cup. The speedster’s availability will be crucial for Indian Team in the ODI World Cup 2023. It becomes pertinent to mention that Indian team has failed to win a single ICC trophy since 2013.
