Virat Kohli – He started the year as captain of the side and ended his career as the highest run scorer of the year and also with no series defeat (minimum two matches in the series) in the year. Apart from this, Kohli also led the Indian team to finals of ICC Champions Trophy.
On the batting front as well, he scored 1460 runs with the highest score of 131. He is only behind Jonny Bairstow in terms on average this year.
Kohli will also lead the ODI XI of the year.
