One of India’s leading mobile applications in transportation, Ola on Monday has launched the ‘Ola Partners League’ (OPL), which is a virtual cricket game in a bid to engage driver partners after making the unique announcement on Monday.

The discarded Indian left-arm fast bowler Irfan Pathan has been named as the brand ambassador alongside broadcast host and Television personality Mandira Bedi, in a bid to promote the smartphone the game for Ola.

“Ola Partners League is a great initiative to support driver partners by playing a simple yet engaging game directly from their smartphones,” Brand Ambassador of OPL, Irfan Pathan was quoted as saying by ANI.

The virtual game has been made available from April 24 across Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai and will be held till 20th of May 2017.

“As the ambassador for Ola Partners League, I am looking forward to encouraging driver partners to come forward to participate and win big this cricket season,” Pathan added.

On the other side, Mandira Bedi remarked Ola continues to give their best following the dedication as a Taxi aggregator while creating ample avenues for its business partners.

“Initiatives like the OPL reflect on Ola’s commitment in creating relevant opportunities for the driver partners,” said Bedi stated.

The transportation service providers Ola will provide the 28-day competition which further will witness driver partners of the Taxi Company winning exciting gift hampers that include Laptops and Television sets.

“Through OPL, we are presenting our partners an opportunity to play their favorite game virtually and win exciting rewards,” Ola COO Vishal Kaul said.

The report suggested that contest would see driver partners banking on aggregate runs which further could be redeemed every week, but they could be able to draw out prizes only once.

“As a homegrown company, we have been building solutions and initiatives for our driver partners and their families to enable their professional and personal growth, OPL is another step in that direction,” Kaul concluded.

Interestingly, the participants are supposed to score runs and complete multiple tasks before the contest winners would be allowed to send their wards to best of the cricketing academies to hone their skills, according to the latest development.
