- Ricky Ponting

Perhaps the ‘greatest’ captain cricket could ever have ‘Ricky Ponting’ used to bat with an added pressure on his shoulder to lead his side to glory.
Ponting won two consecutive World Cups as a captain (2004, 2007) and three consecutive World Cups as a player (1999, 2004, and 2007) was always in the race for scoring the highest number of runs in Test cricket with Sachin Tendulkar.
However, a slump in his form late in his career meant Tendulkar had his task cut out. Ricky Ponting always had a knack for scoring runs under pressure and always thought about winning, coming second was never an option for him.
