Batsmen’s nightmares have come true with this Pakistani teenage possessing a rare ability

Pakistan found a new pace sensation who can bowl 145 kmp/h with both arms. The name of the bowler is Yasir Jan. He was discovered during Lahore Qalandar’s “Jazz Rising Stars” trials in Rawalpindi recently, catching  the eye of management scouts  including former Pakistani fast bowler Aqib Javed. Javed said the raw Yasir could be a “very good” bowler within a year. He is reportedly faster with his right arm but generates more bounce with his left arm. This is the first time I have seen a bowler who can bowl fast with both arms,” Javed told the Geo News.

Yasir belongs to Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. But currently, he stays in Islamabad and says he has been bowling with both arms since childhood.

“I have practised bowling with both left and right arm all my life, I try to imitate every bowler I see,” Yasir told Geo News.

There was talk that Yasir may leave for Australia if he is not selected by Lahore. Following the “Jazz Rising Stars’ trials, which visited eight Pakistan cities, a tournament  will be held between the 30 players selected from the trials. The top two performers will get the chance  to play for Lahore in the Pakistan Super League, while the unlucky players will travel to Australia to train with KFC Big Bash champions Sydney Thunder.

The prospect of facing a bowler who can both with both arms with searing pace will surely give the batsman a nightmare. But, fortunately, the laws of bowler don’t allow a bowler to change delivery arm without informing umpire, and therefore batsman, beforehand. Former England captain Graeme Gooch had the ability to bowl with both arms,  although his gentle medium were nowhere near the speed Yasir can produce.
