Pakistan has retained their top spot in the latest MRF Tyres ICC Twenty20 International Team Ranking released on April 3.
Meanwhile, they whitewashed Windies in the recently concluded T20I series 3-0. This saw cricket coming back to Karachi after nine long years.
However, it was eventually their seven consecutive victory in the shortest format and are only going strong from here.

Meanwhile, Windies took a brave step in bringing back cricket to the country. Previously, many teams have stepped back from touring Pakistan owing to the security reasons.
With their dominance, Pakistan has extended their lead to four points. They have 130 points to their name, four more than Australia (126), which is at the second position.
Meanwhile, India (124) has closed the gap and sitting at third after two consecutive series win.
India defeated the South Africa 2-1 in the Rainbow Nation and followed it up with the Nidahas Trophy win recently. It was T20I tri-series tournament involving host Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The next four teams have very close margins between each other.
New Zealand and England are ranked fourth and fifth respectively with 116 and 114 points while South Africa and Windies occupy the next two spots with 111 points.
Sri Lanka is way behind of all with only 89 points to their name at the 8th position. They are a whopping 22 points adrift of the seventh-placed Windies side – the reigning champions in the format.
