Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally invited the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for two-match T20I series in March this year to be played in Lahore. This was revealed chairman of Executive Committee and PSL Chairman, Najam Sethi himself as he said, “West Indies wants us to play two games in Florida before our full-fledged series with them, so we have suggested them that we would play in Florida if they come to Pakistan and play two matches with us.”

No team has toured Pakistan since 2009 after an attack on Sri Lankan cricket team but Zimbabwe team broke this trend and toured the country in the year 2015 for three ODIs and two T20I matches. They were provided with the Presidential level security with the cars with a red light over them guarding the team. However, still, an incident took place during the series on May 29 in which two people were killed. It will be interesting to see whether West Indies Cricket Board and it players accept the invite or not.

Najam Sethi is also contemplating to organise the final of Pakistan Super League 2017 in Lahore and he has also indicated that many players have agreed to it but still doubts persist.
