Pakistan names unchanged squad for the final Test 1

Pakistan selectors have decided to retain the current Test squad for the third and final Test of the series to be played at Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. The ‘so-called’ hosts have already won the two Test matches of the series and are up in the series by 2-0 with still one match to go.

The selectors decided not to tinker with the squad for the final Test, eyeing a complete domination over the visitors. Pakistan rode on an all-round effort from the team members to register a win over West Indies in the second Test match defeating the visitors by a margin of 133 runs on the final day of the Test. Yasir Shah spun the game in Pakistan favor’s on the final day and ended up with a match figures of 210/10 to topple the Caribbean batting line-up .

Batting first in the first red-ball match of the series, the home team rode on a brilliant century from Yunis Khan scoring a total of 452 in the first innings to which West Indies responded by scoring 224. Pakistan then declared their second innings on the fourth day of the game setting a record total of 456 in front of West Indies. Visitors never seemed to be in sight of chasing the target and ended their innings with still 133 runs to go. With this, Pakistan won the game and sealed the series with still one game to go.

An unchanged playing XI is expected for the next game as well.

This has been an awful series for West Indies as they are yet to win a game in the series.
