The Pakistan cricket team who crushed the England team in the fourth and final Test match has been fined by ICC for maintaining a slow over-rate during the last game. Umpires and match referee found Pakistan team an over short in the stipulated time and thus they have been fined by the ICC.
As a result of this, the captain Misbah Ul Haq has been fined 20% of his match fees whereas the rest of the players will have to pay 10% of their match fees as fine according to article 2.5.1. Along with this, another fear marks over the team as if Pakistan team is again found breaching this law, then captain Misbah Ul Haq will be banned for one Test match.
The Pakistan team won the fourth and final Test match by a margin of 10 wickets to draw the series. Younis khan and bowlers played equally well to seal the match for them. Sohail Khan and Wahab Riaz bowled well for them in the first innings whereas Yasir Shah scalped a fifer in the second innings. With this win, the Pakistan team now has a real chance of climbing to the top of ICC rankings but their ranking will depend on upon results of other matches.
