Pakistan played their usual brand of cricket as their batting collapsed like nine pins of the fifth day against England at Abu Dhabi. Just as the game was headed for a tame draw, some atrocious shot making from Younis Khan and Misbah Ul Haq led to an opening for England. Debutant Adil Rashid bagged a five-for as England needed 99 in a maximum of 19 overs. England lost a few wickets but were on their way to the target. Bad light however intervened and England were left 25 runs short of their target.
