Initially, it was Kiwis, who won the toss and asked the home side to roll their arms. But, the call didn’t go in their favour, as Pakistan bowlers delivered the things beautifully to dismantle New Zealand for 153 in the first innings.
In reply, Pakistan scored 227 on the board. Trent Boult has been the pick of the bowlers with four wickets to his name. Batting in the second innings, this time Kiwis batsmen held the crease for a fine period of time to score 249 and set the target of 175 on the board.
Chasing the tally, Pakistan batsmen fared pretty poorly to make the things fall in place for New Zealand. Ajaz Patel bagged a five-wicket haul while Ish Sodhi and Wagner picked two wickets to see Kiwis bag a four-run victory.
