Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 1st Test: PAK vs SL Dream11 Team, Playing XI, Fantasy Cricket Tips
Test cricket will return to Pakistan after more than 10 years when they host Sri Lanka in the first Test starting Wednesday. Unlike the previous tour to Pakistan (limited-overs), Sri Lanka named a strong squad and regular players are also a part of the team this time around.
It will be sort of the second debut for Pakistan’s players as none of them has played on the home soil, including captain Azhar Ali. All eyes will also be on Fawad Alam, who is expected to be rewarded for his efforts with a place in the playing XI. With Musa Khan out, there will definitely be changes in the bowling line-up.
Coming to the visitors, Sri Lanka did defeat New Zealand in the first Test in the home series but Kiwis levelled the series with a win in the second Test. They haven’t played Test cricket since and will make a comeback in the longest format after almost four months.
Pacers are expected to dominate the proceedings in the Test match, which might see both the teams playing only one spinner. There are chances of rain during the match but that is unlikely to have a major impact.
Here is the likely XI of both the teams –
Naseem Shah might pip Usman Shinwari for a place in the playing XI while Fawad Alam looks set to play his first Test after more than a decade.
Likely playing XI: Imam-ul-Haq, Shan Masood, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Babar Azam, Fawad Alam, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Yasir Shah
Sri Lanka –
Since the pitch is expected to assist pacers, Dilruwan Perera might be the sole spinner in the playing XI.
Likely playing XI: Dimuth Karunaratne, Lahiru Thirimanne, Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Kusal Perera, Dhananjaya de Silva, Niroshan Dickwella, Dilruwan Perera, Lahiru Kumara, Vishwa Fernando, Kasun Rajitha
My Dream11 team –
Imam-ul-Haq, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Perera, Babar Azam (Captain), Fawad Alam, Mohammad Rizwan, Dilruwan Perera (Vice-Captain), Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Abbas, Kusan Rajitha, Vishwa Fernando
