On Monday (30th September), Sri Lanka played its first ODI after 2009 in Pakistan soil. Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Pakistan team registered their first victory in three-match ODI series. Pakistan bowlers and batters showed overall a good performance. Babar Azam‘s 11th ODI century contributed to set the target to 306 runs. The pacer Usman Shinwari picked five wickets of the Islanders.

In the match played at Karachi, Sri Lanka didn’t have a good day as their bowlers were not able to clinch early wickets of the host. The visitors lost early wickets though Shehan Jayasuriya and Dasun Shanaka build a strong partnership but were not able to finish the game. Shinwari picked the wicket of Jayasuriya, and in the next over Shadab Khan send Shanaka back to the pavilion.

But in that match, we saw a sportsman spirit. Sarfaraz helped Shehan Jayasuriya when he went down due to multiple cramps in his hamstring. The Pakistan skipper with Shadab Khan helped him to stretch out before the physiotherapist took over.

Twitter saw different stories on the action of Pakistan player as some compared Sarfaraz with MS Dhoni, some applauded the effort of the skipper and some trolled the host. ICC Shared the moment on the twitter after which different comments flooded on the picture.

Here is how Twitter reacted on Sarfaraz

Sarfaraz Ahmed was again handed over the captaincy in the home ground after Pakistan’s performance was not good in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will be ready to play the third ODI on 2nd October at National Stadium in Karachi. Pakistan is leading by 1-0 margin in the three-match ODI series. The first ODI match was washed out due to rain.
