The much awaited comeback of international cricket to Pakistan is already clogged by a controversy. With Zimbabwe all ready to give Pakistan their first international match at home with the T20 game between the teams played on Friday.
However the tickets for these matches have been reportedly stolen from the PCB head quarters at Lahore. The tickets which cost 1500 rupees each was reported stolen this morning. However the PCB have already filed an FIR regarding this matter and the police think that the whole scam was orchestrated by a ticket seller by the name Azam. Azam who is reportedly selling these tickets in black is working from the Gulberg area in Lahore the police identified.
The Zimbabwe tour for which Pakistan waited a long time is all set to start. There were thoughts of calling off the tour in the wake of recent Karachi Bomb Blasts that took 45 innocent lives. However the Zimbabwe Cricket Board have gone through with the tour after the delegates from the touring nation was happy with the security arrangements for the players.
This series with Zimbabwe gives Pakistan a much needed comeback of cricket into their own nation and the PCB believes that this will give confidence for more countries to tour the nation. This tour will also cut down the USD 120 million losses the Pakistan Cricket Board are currently liable to for playing their home games in the Emirates (UAE)
