After being pulled out from India A tour of New Zealand, Hardik Pandya is training harder to recover as quickly as he can before the selectors announce the ODI and Test squad for India tour of New Zealand. The all-rounder got the chance of practising with his teammates at the Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) ahead of the opening game of ODI series against Australia.

India, meanwhile, is riding on the winning streak from 2019 and recently defeated the visiting Sri Lanka by 2-0 in the three-match T20I series. Now from January 14, India is marching up against Australia in the three-match ODI series.

It will be the second home assignment for the Indian team this year before they head up to New Zealand for five T20Is, three ODIs, and two Test matches in their first away series of the year.

Pandya ecstatic to practice with fellow Indian cricketers while recovering from a back injury

On last Monday (13th January), the all-rounder got the opportunity to practice with his fellow Indian cricketers after a long time. Still recovering from the back injury, Pandya was earlier reported that he failed to pass the fitness tests and was pulled out of India A tour to New Zealand. However, later, it was revealed that Pandya wanted to more work on his fitness, so he moved out from that squad. The cricketer recently got operated the back injury that has been troubling him for a long while affecting his game in the international circuit. The Indian cricketer Vijay Shankar will be replacing the quirky allrounder for that away series.

However, the cricketer has started training harder, and after quite a long time, Pandya got the opportunity to practice with the India team at Wankhede stadium. He took to his social media account and posted pictures of training with the team.

Pandya posted the pictures on Twitter account with a caption:

In the meantime, Pandya will look forward to recovering soon as the team selectors are yet to announce the ODI and Test squads of India for the much-awaited New Zealand tour. It will be a month-long tour where India will indulge with the hosts in a series of exciting T20Is, one-dayers, and the red-ball game. The team for the T20I series for this tour has already been announced that ensured the return of Rohit Sharma in T20Is.
