Pat Cummins Middle Finger’s Small Part Is Missing
Pat Cummins middle finger’s small part was accidentally cut when he was three years old. You would have heard the name of bowler in recent Ashes. He is the leading wicket-taker after the four Tests of Ashes 2019. His outstanding bowling technique has unleashed the batting unit of England players.
Though his slightly shorter middle finger didn’t halt his career and he has established himself as the best bowler. He was three when his sister banged the door on his finger and Cummins lost a part of the finger. When we see his finger closely, it is found that it is in equal length with the Index finger.
“It doesn’t really affect me because the affected finger is about the same length as the other one (the index finger).” Cummins also jokingly added that he still gets his sister in tears over the incident that took place in their childhood.
The shorter middle finger has created an advantage for Pat Cummins
This may prove an advantage to Cummins bowling as Brett Lee also went to the same state. He opined that it can help the bowler.
Lee analyzed that the finger “may aid the ball coming out of the fingers with a nice seam position.”
Cummins also said that he is not able to bowl a leg cutter but his current bowling technique is also no less. He is the bowler with whose effort Australia is still in the Ashes. In total, He has picked 24 wickets till now. The last and final Test match has started from Thursday (September 12).
Pat Cummins career was not easy as he had to go through injuries when he was in the peak. First, he suffered from a knee injury and then a back injury which gave a long break to his career. He made a great comeback and is now playing the Test matches.
