The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is trying all the possible ways to bring back the international cricket to Pakistan. They have been successful in arranging a series against World XI and also hosted Sri Lanka as well. But, the problem is persisting with them, as none of the boards signed a deal with them. Meanwhile, PCB trying to convince Cricket Australia for two games in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Australia and Pakistan are subjected to play a five-match ODI series in the coming few months. For the same, PCB is trying their heart out to persuade Cricket Australia to play two games of them in Pakistan.

Not easy trying to change the perception – Ehsan Mani

Ehsan Mani, the PCB official, is confident it will be pretty easy to convince any side, once they visit Pakistan and have a look after their hosting. But, he feels it is hard to change the perception of the people.

Further, he also spoke on the keenness of Australia to play a series ahead of the grand tournament by adding Steven Smith and David Warner in the side. In return, Pakistan is trying to ask them to do a favour by touring Australia.

“Since we will be hosting the Australians, we have told them to try to play two matches in Pakistan. The process is on but nothing is final as yet,” Ehsan Mani quoted while speaking to the reporters.

“Once anyone comes to Pakistan and views the situation by himself, it will not be hard to convince him. International cricket can return to Pakistan properly. But it is not easy trying to change the perception of people. They haven’t been to Pakistan in recent times,” he added.

All in all, it would be interesting to see whether Cricket Australia accepts their plea or not. In the case of Australia accepting the invitation, most of the boards would consider touring Pakistan, as Australia always has been stern on players’ safety.
