The Pakistan Cricket Board and its players are not too far from controversy and even as the national team is on a tour to Sri Lanka, the PCB is making headlines for the way it has gone about its business. Former Chairman Najam Sethi was not shy to controversies as he was commented on by ex Pakistani players. Sarfaraz Nawaz and Aamir Sohail who are already banned from international cricket were given a stay order by the local sessions court.

The PCB has filed a damages and defamation suit against the two former players, the legal advisor of the board Tafazzul Rizvi said. He added that a restraining order was granted by the Additional District Judge against the two players Nawaz and Sohail. This order takes away rights from the two players to give and defamatory allegations against the ex chairman of the board Najam Sethi.

Najam who is a senior member of the cricket board in the country faced serious allegations from ex test fast bowler Sarfaraz Nawaz. Nawaz along with Sohail alleged that Sethi was not the right person to be on the board. Both the players felt that Sethi was elected as the chairman of the board only because of his political connections within the country. They also claimed that Sethi often misused his powers as the chairman of the board.

Nawaz is no newbie to controversy as he has plenty of times given statements that were controversial. He has also come out with serious allegations of fixing and corruption against fellow players along with the board and also the media. Sethi who is now the head of the executive committee of the PCB has been cleared of the allegations and is serving the cricket board with a lot of pride.
