Pybus, who was interviewed by BCB this week, served as the coach of the side for few months in the year 2012. He has had a coaching stint with many international and domestic teams and was one of the contenders to become the Head Coach of Indian cricket team as well.

He had applied for the job when BCCI invited the applications. He was also running for the position to become the Head Coach of South Africa, a seat which Ottis Gibson occupied later replacing Russel Domingo.

The next on the list to become Bangladesh’s Head Coach is Phil Simmons. He was the coach of the Windies team that won the T20I World Cup while he had a stint with Ireland as well. He brings to the table the experience of playing international cricket as well.

He has also been interview by BCB, and the board is expected to announce a new coach in a few days time. Interestingly, Simmons was also one of the contenders to become the Head Coach of Indian cricket team, but in the end, unsurprisingly, Ravi Shastri emerged as the winner leaving all his competitors behind.
