Indian captain Virat Kohli has scored his fourth double-hundred against Bangladesh in Hyderabad and has now entered the record books, the job he has been successfully doing from past few months.
Having reached the milestone, Virat breaks Sir Donald George Bradman’s and Rahul Dravid’s records for scoring four double ton’s in consecutive series.
Virat, 28, scored 204 runs in the first innings of one-off Tests before being adjudged LBW off Taijul Islam’s delivery. Apart from this, he also equalled Michael Clarke’s record of registering four double centuries as a skipper. Though, given his recent run-of-form and the upcoming Test series against Australia at home, the record seems likely to be broken by the right-hander.
Sir Donald George Bradman of Australia first scored three double hundreds in consecutive Test series in 1930/31 and the record later equalled by India’s Rahul Dravid in 2003/04 season.
To relive the memories, Sportzwiki takes you back in time when Virat Kohli scored all of his three double hundreds.
