The Sri Lankan all-rounder simply doesn’t seem fit in the squad as an overseas all-rounder. There are two reasons behind the assumption. The first reason being his injury issues which have kept him out for a long time now. There is no positive update on it yet.
Secondly, with names like Chris Morris, Carlos Brathwaite, Pat Cummins and Corey Anderson available in the squad, it seems very difficult to see him break into the squad.
